Duration: - 16 Nights / 17 Days (13 Days Trek)
Destination Covered: - Leh - Ulleytokpo - Lamayuru - Wanla - Hinju - Konzela - Dunduchunla -Chilling - Skiu - Markha - Thachungtse - Nimaling - Chogdo - Shangphu -Mathola - Leh
A very interesting trek beginning at Lamayuru and walking up the less traveled Ripchar valley with its small villages, nomadic settlements and pastures where you see a wide variety of flowers from end of July to end of August and birds too. You cross some high passes with excellent views of the Karakoram and the Zanskar ranges. The initial part of the trek till Chilling is less traveled. From Chilling you cross the Zanskar River by a pulley cable and continue into the Markha valley-most popular and considered one of the best valleys in Ladakh. This trek is not difficult but is demanding in stages due to the terrain. The average walking time is 5-6 hours.
Day 01:- Leh Kushok Bakula Airport
Arrival at Leh Kushok Bakula airport our RIE representative will meet & greet you and transfer to the Hotel. This flight is one of the most sensational flights in the world. On a clear day from one side of the aircraft can be seen in the distance the peaks of K2, Nanga Parbat, Gasherbrum and on the other side of the aircraft, so close that you feel you could reach out and touch it, is the Nun Kun massif. You would take a little time to settle in and acclimatize since you have gone from a relatively low elevation in New Delhi to over (Altitude 11,000 feet) during the afternoon, you can walk through the old town, beneath the Leh Palace, to allow you to get oriented to this fascinating city. Day 02: Leh - Ulleytokpo (Altitude 3165 Mtrs. 73 Kms 3-4 Hours Drive)
Morning after breakfast drive towards Ulleytokpo, en route visit Lakir Monastery, Alchi, Basgo Castle and Magnetic hill. Check in at the deluxe camp at Ulleytokpo.
Lakir Monastery is also called the Klu-Kkhjil or "water spirits". Built over an earlier Gompa burnt down in the 15th century, the present Gompa is an 18th century construction and houses monks of the Gyalukpa sect. The Likir monastery has a rich collection of paintings, robes and artifacts.
Alchi is nestled in the valley of the Indus River along the ancient trade route and is famous for its gompas, some over a thousand years old. Its wall paintings deserve a special mention.
Basgo Castle is a historical town situated on the bank of the Indus River in Ladakh. It is known for its gompas and historical ruins. The complex of buildings includes a ruined fortress dating from 15th century as well as two large temples and a small shrine.

Day 03: Ulleytokpo - Lamayuru
After breakfast leave for Lamayuru via Khalsi, Kangaroo Carves & Fotu-la (Altitude 4088 Mts.), Mulbeck & Namika-la (Altitude 3697 Mts.).After driving up the Kangaroo curves one can have a fascinating view of granite colour rocks & continue drive towards the mesmerizing Moon landscapes and the Lamayuru monastery, Lamayuru is the oldest religious centre of Ladakh situated on or near the Indus and is believed to have been the sacred site for the pre-Buddhist religion known as Bon Built in the 10th century, the monastery is spectacularly located on an eroded mass of rock below towering mountains The Monastery here beats all others in sheer grandeur and in its uniqueness of wood carving, Dinner and overnight stay at Camps

Day 04: Lamayuru - Prinkitila - Wanla (Altitude 3450 Mtrs. 3-4 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast leave for first day Trek, The trail heads down the valley before turning east to Prinkitila (Altitude 3506 Mtrs.), Descend from the pass to the scenic village of Wanla. On arrival at Wanla fix the camps for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 05: Wanla - Hinju (Altitude 3750 App Mtrs. 3-4 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast we follow a nice wide path till the village of Penji from where you leave the main trail and head up the Ripchar valley to Hinju. On arrival at Hinju valley fix the camps dinner and overnight stay
Day 06: Hinju - Konzela (Altitude 4750 6-7 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast continue up the valley to grazing areas which support the village summer camps, on arrival at Konzela and fix the camps base of Konzela dinner and overnight stay
Day 07: Konzela Top (Altitude 4950 Mtrs. Depends upto you Trek)
Morning after breakfast begins a short but steep climb to Konzela (4950m) for views of the Zanskar range. A long and steep descent brings you to a camp by the river at Lanak. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 08: Konzela - Dunduchunla - Chilling (Altitude 3390 Mtrs. 5-6 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast follow the left bank of the river to the village of Sumdo then go up the ridge to another pass - Dunduchunla (Altitude 4435 Mtrs.) and descend to camp near the village of Chilling, the inhabitants of whom are the only ones who are the main metal workers making Ladakhi copper utensils. Dinner and overnight stay at Camps near the Chilling
Day 09: Chilling - Skiu (Altitude 3390 Mtrs. 3-4 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast Cross the Zanskar by pulley cable and follow a lovely trail on arrival at Skiu fix the camps dinner and overnight stay
Day 10: Skiu - Markha (Altitude 3810 Mtrs. 6-7 Hours Walking)
Morning after breakfast starting the Cross Markha River at two places to the village of Chalak, Beyond this settle-ment are an impressive line of chortens and a huge mound of goat horns. Follow the Markha River on arrival of village of Markha fix the camps dinner and overnight stay.
Day 11: Markha - Thachungtse (Altitude 4250 Mtrs. 5 - 6 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast follow the main trail passing the monastery at Humlung to the village of Hankar, We now go away from the wide valley and go up a narrow valley to the pasture at Thachungtse on arrival at Thachungtse fix the camps dinner and overnight stay
Day 12: Thachungtse - Nimaling (Altitude 4700 Mtrs. 4-5 Hours Trek)
After breakfast the trail climbs steeply to the plateau and pastures of Nimaling with impressive views of Kangyassey peak (Altitude 6401 Mtrs.) on arrival Nimaling fix the camps dinner and overnight stay
Day 13: Day at Leisure
Full Rest day at Nimaling or optional hike up the left shoulder of Kangyassey (Altitude 6401 Mtrs.) dinner and overnight stay
Day 14: Nimaling - Chogdo Base Camp (Altitude 4856 Aprx Mtrs. 5-6 Hours Trek)
Morning after breakfast leave for Chogdo after begin a gradual climb of about 2 Hours to the top of Kongmaru la (Altitude 5030 Mtrs.), the highest point on the trek with excellent views of the Stok range and the Karakoram Range of mountains. Descend to the wooded gorge check inn to camp at Chogdo. Dinner and overnight stay
Day 15: Chogdo - Shangphu (Altitude 4174 Mtrs. 5-6 Hours Trek)
After breakfast follow the Shang Tokpo (stream). And Go up Shang la at (Altitude 4900 Mtrs.) And descend to camp Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 16: Shangphu - Mathola - Leh (Altitude 4100 Mtrs. 4-5 Hours Trek and 2 Hours Drive)
Morning after breakfast leave Leh today is a last day of trek we hope your enjoyed wild Trek en-route Matho Village Mathola is an (Altitude 4100 Mtrs.) arrive village at Matho and then continue Drive towards Leh visiting en-route visit Stok Palace and museum on the way back. On arrival at leh check inn Hotel for complete rest 7 relax dinner & overnight stay
Day 17 : Depart Leh - Kushok Bakula Airport
Morning after breakfast, transfer to airport board your flight towards destination, to enjoy yet again, a beautiful flight over the great Himalayas
